This superbly delicate stamp honors the now almost lost art of the handwritten love letter. Designed by Lisa Catalone, using a photograph taken by Renée Comet superimposed in the foreground. The fine script that appears in the background is excerpted from a letter written by founding father John Adams to Abigail Smith whom he was courting and later married.
